The File of Life program consists of a red plastic pocket labeled - FILE OF LIFE – and a medical history card. On this card, you would fill in your name, address, phone number, emergency contact information, health problems, medications, allergies, doctor’s name and other data. This entire pocket is held, with a magnet, to the outside of your refrigerator. This program is used in many states throughout the United States and is now here for the residents of North Greece Fire District.

“The benefit of our program is that you can fill out the medical history card while you are in a calm atmosphere, and you can look up all the information,” said Gary DiMora, Firefighter/EMT with the North Greece Fire District. This should give you peace of mind knowing that you will receive prompt and quality medical care as we will have easy access to potentially life-saving information.

The North Greece Professional Firefighters Association Local 3827 has taken on the task of cosponsoring this program with the North Greece Fire District to assist the residents of the North Greece Community. Over 700 "File of Life" cards have been purchased and over 500 have been distributed.
