Local resident stops by to say "Thank you!"

Greece Resident Scott Williams stopped by North Greece Headquarters on Wednesday November 10, 2010 to commend the Firefighters who helped him. This is what he wrote...

On November 16, 2006 at 1:16PM I was traveling east on Latta Rd. when a Suburban Disposal truck pulled out of Bridgewood Dr. attempting a left turn into traffic. With no time to react, I struck the side of the truck and sustained multiple severe injuries including a C7 fracture.

Within 2 minutes, the first responders, were on the scene. I still remember vivdly the members of the Paddy Hill Station calming me down and working to quickly assess and control the accident scene.

In a professional and efficient manner, they worked quickly to extricate me from my vehicle requiring the removal of the roof and door with the "jaws of life". Even though I was dazed and severely injured from the impact, I was amazed at how quickly they were able to proceed with removing me from the vehicle....
